Questions to Ask at the Interview
Following are examples of questions a
military-to-civilian interviewee may want to ask an employer.
Generally, after the employer has asked the interviewer
his/her questions, they will open the dialogue to the interviewee
for questions they may have regarding the position or the company.
Asking good questions to a prospective employer demonstrates
that you have researched and prepared for the interview.

What initial training, if any, will I receive if I am hired?
2.
How soon do you plan to make a decision on filling the position?
3.
What do you feel are the most challenging aspects of this position?
4.
How often are employees evaluated?
5.
Is this position tied to a developed career path within your
company?
6.
Is this a new position or are you filling a recent vacancy?
7.
What is the next step in the hiring process?
8.
What qualities do the top achievers within your company seem to
share?
9.
What computer skills and software knowledge are essential to
performing this position well?
10. Can I provide you with any additional
information about myself to help you in the decision making process?
11.
What type of future training or training requirements will I
receive if hired into the position?
12.
What is the structure of the department in which the vacancy
is to be filled?
13.
What is a typical career path within your organization for
someone with my qualifications?
14.
What are some of the department’s on-going or anticipated
projects?
15.
How soon can I expect to hear from you?
